Heavy Haul Division Manager

Job Description:
  • $50,000 - $58,000 a year

Barber Trucking is a family owned and operated company headquartered in Brookville, Pennsylvania. Our company has been in operation for over 37 years, and we pride ourselves in delivering exceptional service to our customers. We currently have an exciting career opportunity available as a Heavy-Haul Division Manager, based out of our Brookville, PA terminal. This position will require a very detail-oriented individual.

Some responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Maintain driver and truck status in SSI.
  • Maintain driver performance record for positive feedback, late deliveries, etc.
  • Oversee all specialized drivers and specialized dispatchers.
  • Works with Management on customer pricing. Enters all rates into specialized loads for billing purposes.
  • Provides recommendations for departmental salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, and dismissals to supervisor.
  • Handle After Hour/Emergency phone calls as needed.
  • Handle irate employees in a professional manner
  • Communicate with accounting, payroll, safety, and human resources on driver matters.
  • Driver Retention – Assist drivers with issues and problems as those relate to other job duties, and help achieve and/or exceed Driver Retention Goals.
  • Perform other related duties assigned
